Session Four - The Tower

[2023/12/04 15:48] Alicia Frakture: We were about to enter the tower where Bobbysocks is being held
[2023/12/04 15:49] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: right! workig our way through the goblins and hobs
[2023/12/04 15:50] Sonja Bikergrrl: Indeed, we just downed all foes, are a little wounded, and out of healing spells. There's the staircase up to the tower itself, of course.
[2023/12/04 15:50] Sonja Bikergrrl: So, what's the plan?
[2023/12/04 15:51] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: what options other than the staircase do we have? I see windows up on the tower walls?
[2023/12/04 15:51] Alicia Frakture: One of these days the plan is to get healing potions
[2023/12/04 15:52] Sonja Bikergrrl: There's windows, what are rather curtained inside and barred without. I guess you could climb a wall and try and look what's inside.

[2023/12/04 15:55] Sonja Bikergrrl: okay... d20 attack roll to hit AC 10, unmodified (so, roll 9+), then DEX save (d20, under 11) to catch without harming. Otherwise, you both take damage!

[2023/12/04 16:01] Sonja Bikergrrl: You'll have to go up the stairs to gain access to the tower.
[2023/12/04 16:01] ɗίηα ωíƖɗę ღ (kitten.venus): /me nodding then quickly flying high , being careful to stay far enough from the window so noone could grab her while doing her best to see what might be inside
[2023/12/04 16:04] Sonja Bikergrrl: Dahlia sees: 1st level: it's dark, dingy... looks like a hallway of sorts with armour standing in rows. 2nd level: it's lighter, but still, only a sliver of glass shows... goblins. And a small figure that might be Boddyknock, being literally mummified in bandages, while a goblin holds a beaker of liquid. And 3rd level... all you can make out is a four poster bed. Someone is moving about there, a rather larger figure.

[2023/12/04 16:06] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: Exterior door is on the third floor?
[2023/12/04 16:06] Alicia Frakture: Leesha shakes her head."We need to act and act fast."
[2023/12/04 16:06] Sonja Bikergrrl: 1st, which is elevated.
[2023/12/04 16:07] Sonja Bikergrrl: Katana: "For what purpose are they wrapping Boddyknock in bandages?"
[2023/12/04 16:08] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: "Keep him alive, I hope."
[2023/12/04 16:08] Sonja Bikergrrl: okay, intentions?
[2023/12/04 16:09] Alicia Frakture: Head upstairs and get through that door.
[2023/12/04 16:09] Sonja Bikergrrl: Dahlia, Debben?
[2023/12/04 16:10] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: Debben taking up the rear for spear range
[2023/12/04 16:10] ɗίηα ωíƖɗę ღ (kitten.venus): flying along following , cautious and curious
[2023/12/04 16:11] Sonja Bikergrrl: As you approach the stairs, Dahlia sees the translucent hound again. It's sitting on the landing where the stairs take a sharp turn left, with it's tail wagging and tongue lolling out. As you approach the second part of the stairs, the dog backs up, and bares teeth in a silent growl.
[2023/12/04 16:13] ɗίηα ωíƖɗę ღ (kitten.venus): /me looks at the dog as it growls sticks her tongue out at it and tells her companions exactly where it is and what it is doing, "That silly dog is back , the one that wont let anyone else see it"

[2023/12/04 16:14] Alicia Frakture: /me Leesha Shakes her head."What is the dog doing?"
[2023/12/04 16:16] ɗίηα ωíƖɗę ღ (kitten.venus): /me still looking towards teh dog, "It's growling trying to look scary. I don't think it understands dogs that are invisible arent scary like wolves and dogs everyone can see.", keeps to height where the dog most likely couldnt get to her as she made faces at it and made sure it knew she wasnt scared of it at all

[2023/12/04 16:19] Sonja Bikergrrl: Dahlia sees the dog give a little bark, then it tries to lick at her. And then it bares teeth again, silently growling

[2023/12/04 16:20] Alicia Frakture: Still going up but being as careful as possible

[2023/12/04 16:22] Sonja Bikergrrl: Leesha feels the slight resistance of a trip wire just a little too late. A stick jabs out, with a sliver of sharp metal on the end, and jabs into her foot, injuring her slightly.
[2023/12/04 16:23] Sonja Bikergrrl: Dahlia sees the dog fade out of view.
[2023/12/04 16:23] Alicia Frakture: Leesha reaches down to remove the sliver from her foot
[2023/12/04 16:24] Sonja Bikergrrl: Guess that was a pointed warning to intruders.
[2023/12/04 16:25] Sonja Bikergrrl: Now, what about the door? It looks like a heavy oak door, designed to resist being battered, with rusty iron reinforcements running horizontally across it.
[2023/12/04 16:27] Alicia Frakture: *Gonna try something never before attempted in a D&D game*
[2023/12/04 16:27] Sonja Bikergrrl: This I gotta see.
[2023/12/04 16:27] Alicia Frakture: Gently tries to just open the door.
[2023/12/04 16:27] Sonja Bikergrrl: The door creaks a little as it swings open.
[2023/12/04 16:27] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: Debben will bechecking for any more traps and for what that wire was attached to
[2023/12/04 16:28] Alicia Frakture: *Saves the time of trying to pick locks or break it down, and they might work*

[2023/12/04 16:31] Sonja Bikergrrl: Now you can see inside - it looks very much like a reception area that has seen better days. Suits of battered rusty armour stand against walls, there's four doors that might lead somewhere, and a trapdoor in the centre of the area.
[2023/12/04 16:31] Alicia Frakture: Leesha pushes the door open and carefully enters the room
[2023/12/04 16:32] Sonja Bikergrrl: Dahlia can see the translucent dog again, sitting on the trap door and quietly baring teeth.
[2023/12/04 16:33] ɗίηα ωíƖɗę ღ (kitten.venus): /me flew to where teh dog was and petted it again trying to calm it, "The dog is back near the trap door"
[2023/12/04 16:33] Sonja Bikergrrl: The dog doesn't move - or stop quietly snarling - but it does wag it's tail at being petted.

[2023/12/04 16:36] Alicia Frakture: "Probably another trap." Leesha says grumbling Hey Dahlia where is Boddyknock from here?"
[2023/12/04 16:37] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: Debben looks at the area Dhalia suggests the trapdoor and such is, looking for traps with assistance from the warning.

[2023/12/04 16:43] ɗίηα ωíƖɗę ღ (kitten.venus): /me looks at each of the doors trying to see which one might have been seen through the window or led to what she had seen, if able to tell she pointed to it
[2023/12/04 16:43] Sonja Bikergrrl: Hard to tell any differences from them. They're all light-looking interior doors.
[2023/12/04 16:45] Alicia Frakture: Are those suits of armor on any pedastals?
[2023/12/04 16:45] ɗίηα ωíƖɗę ღ (kitten.venus): I'm not sure which door is the right one, maybe we could just pick one at random and try to find the way up
[2023/12/04 16:46] Sonja Bikergrrl: The armours are just hanging on old wooden supports. (The armours are quite old and rusty, little use except as scrap)
[2023/12/04 16:47] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: Any other clues or furniture in the room to hint at the layout?
[2023/12/04 16:48] Alicia Frakture: wait, reception area, means there is a desk right?
[2023/12/04 16:48] Sonja Bikergrrl: None that seem obvious.
[2023/12/04 16:48] Sonja Bikergrrl: Reception area means a place where the entrance door leads into. It's not a modern office.
[2023/12/04 16:50] Alicia Frakture: Damn
[2023/12/04 16:51] Alicia Frakture: Leesha looks at the others. "Looks like it's pick a door time."
[2023/12/04 16:51] Sonja Bikergrrl: Katana tries a door. A cloakroom with some old cloaks, a few brooms and an old bucket.
[2023/12/04 16:52] Sonja Bikergrrl: Anyone else want to try a door....?

[2023/12/04 16:59] Sonja Bikergrrl: You open the door and the foul stink is like a punch to the nose, and the gut. The disgusting stench of the goblins' midden makes you absolutely barf, although that doesn't worsen the foulness.
[2023/12/04 17:00] Alicia Frakture: /me Leesha reaches over to push the door shut
[2023/12/04 17:00] Sonja Bikergrrl: And perhaps it's just as well Leesha did that.
[2023/12/04 17:01] Sonja Bikergrrl: Katana: Door #4 is indeed a staircase curving upwards... and there, on that bum note, will be tonights' cliffhanger.
